More Detail

12+ Years Post-Registration Experience

Hi. I'm Alison. I'm an accredited and registered counsellor - I help individuals with their emotional wellbeing. I have private and public sector experience as a counsellor. My focus involves relationship problems, as well as the particular obstacles experienced by women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment meeting allows you to see if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what concerns you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and decide if therapy could help you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange an initial assessment meeting in Epsom.

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You decide what matter regarding your childhood and/or adulthood you discuss. The aim of counselling is to enable you to talk about a difficulty and find a way forward that is right for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy centres on the unconscious meaning of the issues you encounter. It facilitates you in becoming aware of aspects of your internal dynamics. Psychodynamic therapy seeks to enhance your self-comprehension to give you choices.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests psychodynamic therapy for anorexia nervosa, depression, self harm and social anxiety disorder.
