6+ Years Post-Chartership Experience

Hello. I'm Haneyeh Belyani. I'm a chartered and registered counselling psychologist - I assist individuals and couples with their emotional wellbeing. I have private sector experience as a counselling psychologist. My focus includes depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), as well as the particular difficulties encountered by men and women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment appointment helps you to discover if you are comfortable with me, share what troubles you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and determine if therapy may benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to book a preliminary assessment session in Harold Wood, Romford or City of London, London.

Client Centred Therapy

Client centred therapy focuses on appreciating and supporting you. It encourages your openness around the worries you experience. Client centred therapy aims to help you discover your own solutions.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT concentrates on how your thoughts influence your feelings and actions. It identifies and addresses unhelpful thoughts that perpetuate the problems you experience. The objective of cognitive behavioural therapy is for you to experience healthier thoughts and feelings.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends CBT for depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), panic disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), self harm and social anxiety disorder.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You decide which issue concerning your early years or adulthood you explore. The objective of counselling is to help you to speak about a problem and find a solution which is right for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Existential Therapy

Existential therapy investigates how you perceive your existence. It involves reflection on your viewpoints, capacities and options. Existential therapy seeks to help you discover meaning in your life and the problems you experience.

Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR)

Eye movement desensitisation reprocessing guides your eye motions to affect how your mind processes information. The procedure endeavours to reprocess your frozen traumatic memories. The objective of eye movement desensitisation reprocessing is to desensitise your upsetting memories.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests EMDR for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Humanistic Therapy

Humanistic therapy focuses on appreciating you. It considers you as a whole human being and emphasises your unique growth. Humanistic therapy seeks to help you realise your freedom.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy centres on the unconscious causes of the issues you experience. It facilitates you in becoming aware of parts of your internal dynamics. Psychodynamic therapy aims to enhance your self-comprehension to give you options.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests psychodynamic therapy for depression, self harm and social anxiety disorder.

Psychology is interested in you and your mind, emotions and actions. It offers you psychological interventions and mental health support. The intention of psychological therapy is to help you ease symptoms.
