More Detail

Over 12 Years Post-Chartership Experience

Hello. I am Yoav. I'm a chartered and registered clinical psychologist - I help individuals and couples with their psychological wellbeing. I have private, public and voluntary sector experience as a clinical psychologist. My interest includes depression, relationship problems and self esteem, as well as the specific issues faced by men, transgender people and women.

What to Expect

A preliminary assessment meeting allows you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what concerns you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and assess if therapy could assist you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an initial assessment meeting in Finchley, London.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioural therapy focuses on how your thoughts affect your feelings and actions. It recognises and addresses unhelpful thoughts which perpetuate the problems you experience. The objective of CBT is for you to experience healthier thoughts and feelings.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) indicates CBT for anorexia nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder (BED), bulimia nervosa, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) (ME), depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), panic disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and schizophrenia.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy centres on the unconscious meaning of the problems you encounter. It facilitates you in becoming conscious of aspects of your inner dynamics. Psychodynamic therapy aims to enhance your self-comprehension to give you options.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests psychodynamic therapy for anorexia nervosa and depression.

Psychology is interested in you and your mind, feelings and behaviour. It offers you psychological interventions and mental wellbeing support. The intention of psychological therapies is to help you alleviate symptoms.

Solution Focused Therapy (SFT)

Solution focused therapy focuses on finding solutions for the issues you encounter. It examines what assists you, and which steps you could take to effect change. The purpose of SFT is to help you recognise and use your personal strengths.

Systemic Therapy

Systemic therapy concentrates on the system of interactions between you and others. It addresses the interactions which perpetuate the relationship conflicts you experience. Systemic therapy intends to help you enhance how you communicate with people.
