9+ Years Post-Registration Experience

Hi. I am Waheena. I'm a registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I assist individuals and couples with their mental health. I hold private and voluntary sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My focus includes abuse, self esteem and stress, as well as the specific problems experienced by mixed ethnic background men and women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment meeting helps you to see if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what troubles you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and determine if therapy may benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange an introductory assessment meeting in Oxford Circus, London or Chelmsford.

Counselling

(1 Review)
Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You determine which matter concerning your early years or adulthood you discuss. The objective of counselling is to enable you to speak about a difficulty and find a way forward which is appropriate for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Integrative Therapy

Integrative therapy combines therapeutic approaches to suit your needs and the problems you encounter. It considers your personal experiences and options. The aim of integrative therapy is to help you advance your self-understanding.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the problems you face. It considers your ideas, feelings and significant moments in your life. Psychotherapy aims to help you develop or discover suitable ways of coping.

"Waheena has a very calming nature which has allowed me to feel very comfortable with my sessions, and allowed me to open up about me. I feel that she has travelled with me on my journey, through listening and discussing important things that are so relevant to aid my progress from the loss of my partner."
