Welcome. I am Toni Suffolk. I'm a chartered and registered counselling psychologist - I help individuals with their emotional wellbeing. I hold private sector experience as a counselling psychologist.

What to Expect

An introductory assessment meeting helps you to discover if you are comfortable with me, discuss what worries you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and assess if therapy could assist you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange an initial assessment session in Croydon.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT concentrates on how your thoughts affect your emotions and actions. It identifies and challenges negative thoughts that perpetuate the problems you experience. The aim of CBT is for you to experience healthier thoughts and feelings.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests CBT for anorexia nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder (BED), bulimia nervosa, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) (ME), depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), panic disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), self harm and substance dependence.


Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You decide which issue concerning your early years and/or adult life you explore. An aim of counselling is to help you to speak about a problem and discover a solution that is appropriate for you.

Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR)

Eye movement desensitisation reprocessing guides your eye movements to affect how your mind processes data. The technique attempts to reprocess your locked distressing recollections. The objective of EMDR is to desensitise your upsetting memories.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests eye movement desensitisation reprocessing for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Humanistic Therapy

Humanistic therapy focuses on valuing you. It considers you as a whole human being and emphasises your unique development. Humanistic therapy aims to help you realise your autonomy.

Integrative Therapy

Integrative therapy selects therapeutic approaches to fit your preferences and the problems you encounter. It explores your subjective experience and options. An aim of integrative therapy is to help you advance your self-awareness.


Psychology is interested in you and your mind, feelings and behaviour. It offers you psychological interventions and mental health support. An objective of psychological therapy is to help you alleviate symptoms.

Solution Focused Therapy (SFT)

SFT focuses on finding solutions for the problems you experience. It explores what assists you, and which steps you could make to effect change. The intention of SFT is to help you know and use your own strengths.

Transactional Analysis (TA)

Transactional analysis centres on the modes you use to interact with yourself and people. It explores the impact of your pre-conscious life plan and how to improve it. TA aims to help you acknowledge your worth and ability to change.
