More Detail

Over 10 Years Post-Registration Experience

Hello. I am Tim. I'm an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) psychotherapist and a registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I help individuals with their psychological health. I hold private sector experience as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) psychotherapist and a counsellor and psychotherapist.

What to Expect

A preliminary assessment session enables you to see if you are comfortable with me, share what troubles you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and determine if therapy may benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange an initial assessment appointment in Temple, London or Pimlico, London.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Acceptance and commitment therapy focuses on your responses to your emotions. It fosters your toleration of your physical sensations. ACT aims to help you dedicate yourself to positive change.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioural therapy focuses on how your thoughts (cognitions) affect your emotions and actions. It recognises and challenges negative ideas which maintain the issues you experience. The aim of cognitive behavioural therapy is for you to experience healthier thoughts and feelings.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) indicates CBT for depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), panic disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and social anxiety disorder.

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You determine which issue concerning your early years or adulthood you discuss. An aim of counselling is to enable you to speak about a difficulty and find a solution which is right for you.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the difficulties you confront. It explores your ideas, feelings and significant events in your history. Psychotherapy intends to help you change or discover suitable ways of coping.
