Welcome. I'm Tara. I'm an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) psychotherapist - I support individuals with their emotional health. I have private sector experience as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) psychotherapist.

What to Expect

A preliminary assessment meeting helps you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what troubles you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and decide if therapy could help you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange a preliminary assessment session in Aldgate, London, Euston, London or Victoria, London.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT focuses on how your thoughts (cognitions) influence your emotions and behaviour. It recognises and addresses unhelpful ideas that maintain the issues you encounter. The aim of cognitive behavioural therapy is for you to experience healthier thoughts and feelings.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) indicates CBT for anorexia nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder (BED), bipolar disorder, Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), bulimia nervosa, depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), panic disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), self harm and substance dependence.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the problems you face. It considers your thoughts, emotions and relevant moments in your history. Psychotherapy intends to help you develop or discover suitable ways of managing.
