More Detail

Over 9 Years Post-Chartership Experience

Welcome. I'm Suheyla. I'm a chartered and registered counselling psychologist and an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) psychotherapist - I support individuals with their emotional wellbeing. I hold private sector experience as a counselling psychologist and a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) psychotherapist. My interest includes depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and self esteem, and the particular problems encountered by men and women.

What to Expect

An introductory assessment meeting enables you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, share what concerns you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and assess if therapy could benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an initial assessment meeting in West End, London, Sanderstead, South Croydon or Coulsdon.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT concentrates on how your thoughts affect your emotions and actions. It recognises and challenges negative ideas that maintain the issues you encounter. The objective of CBT is for you to experience healthier thoughts and emotions.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests CBT for anorexia nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder (BED), Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), bulimia nervosa, depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), panic disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and self harm.

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You decide which matter concerning your childhood and/or adult life you discuss. The objective of counselling is to enable you to speak about a difficulty and discover a way forward which is right for you.

Psychology

Psychology is interested in you and your mind, feelings and actions. It offers you psychological treatments and mental wellbeing support. An objective of psychological therapies is to help you ease symptoms.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you obtaining insight into the difficulties you confront. It considers your thoughts, feelings and relevant moments in your history. Psychotherapy intends to help you change or find appropriate methods of managing.
