What to Expect

An introductory assessment meeting enables you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, share what concerns you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and assess if therapy could benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an initial assessment meeting in Sanderstead, South Croydon, Coulsdon or West End, London.

Client centred therapy concentrates on understanding and supporting you. It facilitates your openness around the concerns you encounter. Client centred therapy aims to help you discover your own answers.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT concentrates on how your thoughts affect your emotions and actions. It recognises and challenges negative ideas that maintain the issues you encounter. The objective of CBT is for you to experience healthier thoughts and emotions.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests CBT for anorexia nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder (BED), Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), bulimia nervosa, depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), panic disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and self harm.

Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR guides your eye motions to stimulate how your brain processes data. The technique endeavours to reprocess your locked distressing memories. The aim of eye movement desensitisation reprocessing is to desensitise your upsetting memories.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends eye movement desensitisation reprocessing for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
