More Detail

Over 6 Years Post-Accreditation Experience

Hi. I'm Sue. I'm an accredited counsellor and psychotherapist - I support individuals, couples and families with their psychological wellbeing. I hold private sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My interest includes Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and relationship problems, as well as the particular challenges encountered by men and women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment appointment allows you to discover if you are comfortable with me, discuss what worries you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and assess if therapy could help you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an initial assessment appointment in Warrington.

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You decide what matter concerning your childhood and/or adult life you discuss. The aim of counselling is to enable you to talk about a problem and discover a way forward which is right for you.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy focuses on the unconscious causes of the problems you encounter. It facilitates you in being aware of aspects of your inner dynamics. Psychodynamic therapy aims to increase your self-understanding to give you choices.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) indicates psychodynamic therapy for depression.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you obtaining insight into the problems you face. It considers your ideas, feelings and relevant moments in your life. Psychotherapy intends to help you develop or discover suitable ways of managing.
