More Detail

2+ Years Post-Registration Experience

Hello. I'm Sharon. I'm a registered counsellor - I assist individuals with their emotional wellbeing. I have private, public and voluntary sector experience as a counsellor. My focus includes bereavement, depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and stress, and the specific challenges faced by bisexual, gay and heterosexual men, transgender people and women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment session helps you to see if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what concerns you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and assess if therapy may help you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange an introductory assessment appointment in Highgate, London or Clerkenwell, London.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You decide what matter concerning your childhood or adult life you explore. An aim of counselling is to enable you to talk about a difficulty and find a way forward that is right for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Humanistic Therapy

Humanistic therapy centres on valuing you. It considers you as a whole person and prioritises your personal development. Humanistic therapy aims to help you realise your freedom.

Integrative Therapy

Integrative therapy combines therapeutic approaches to fit your needs and the problems you experience. It considers your personal experience and options. An aim of integrative therapy is to help you develop your self-understanding.
