Hello. I am Sarah. I'm a registered psychotherapist - I help individuals and couples with their psychological health. I have private sector experience as a psychotherapist.

What to Expect

A preliminary assessment session allows you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, share what worries you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and decide if therapy may benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to book a preliminary assessment meeting in Ashurst Wood, Forest Row.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioural therapy concentrates on how your thoughts (cognitions) affect your emotions and behaviour. It identifies and addresses unhelpful thoughts which maintain the problems you experience. The objective of CBT is for you to experience healthier thoughts and emotions.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends CBT for anorexia nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder (BED), bulimia nervosa, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) (ME), depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), panic disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), self harm and social anxiety disorder.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy focuses on the unconscious causes of the problems you encounter. It facilitates you in being aware of aspects of your inner dynamics. Psychodynamic therapy aims to enhance your self-comprehension to give you options.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) indicates psychodynamic therapy for anorexia nervosa, depression, self harm and social anxiety disorder.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the problems you face. It explores your ideas, emotions and significant events in your life. Psychotherapy aims to help you develop or discover appropriate methods of managing.
