Hi. I am Roz Skegg. I'm a senior accredited and registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I assist individuals and couples with their mental wellbeing. I have private sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My interest involves Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), relationship problems and self esteem, as well as the particular issues experienced by men and women.

What to Expect

A preliminary assessment session allows you to see if you are comfortable with me, share what troubles you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and assess if therapy could help you. Please use a contact option on the right to book a preliminary assessment meeting in Furnace Green, Crawley.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioural therapy concentrates on how your thoughts (cognitions) affect your emotions and actions. It identifies and addresses negative ideas that maintain the issues you experience. The aim of CBT is for you to have healthier thoughts and feelings.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests cognitive behavioural therapy for depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You determine which matter regarding your early years or adulthood you explore. An aim of counselling is to enable you to talk about a difficulty and find a solution that is appropriate for you.

Integrative Therapy

Integrative therapy combines therapeutic approaches to fit your preferences and the issues you experience. It considers your subjective experience and options. The aim of integrative therapy is to help you develop your self-awareness.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you obtaining insight into the problems you face. It explores your thoughts, feelings and significant events in your life. Psychotherapy aims to help you change or find suitable methods of coping.
