More Detail

Over 9 Years Post-Accreditation Experience

Hello. I am Pindy. I'm an accredited counsellor and psychotherapist - I support individuals, couples and families with their psychological health. I have private sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist.

What to Expect

A preliminary assessment appointment allows you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what concerns you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and assess if therapy could benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange an introductory assessment session in Maidenhead.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT focuses on how your thoughts (cognitions) influence your feelings and actions. It identifies and addresses unhelpful ideas that perpetuate the issues you encounter. The aim of CBT is for you to experience healthier thoughts and feelings.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) indicates CBT for alcohol dependence, anorexia nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder (BED), bipolar disorder, bulimia nervosa, depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), panic disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), self harm and substance dependence.

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You decide which issue regarding your childhood and/or adulthood you discuss. The aim of counselling is to enable you to speak about a problem and discover a solution that is right for you.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the problems you confront. It considers your thoughts, emotions and relevant events in your history. Psychotherapy intends to help you develop or find suitable methods of coping.
