More Detail

7+ Years Post-Registration Experience

Hello. I'm Nicola. I'm a registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I support individuals and couples with their emotional wellbeing. I have private sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My interest involves depression, relationship problems and self esteem, as well as the specific issues faced by women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment session allows you to discover if you are comfortable with me, share what concerns you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and determine if therapy may assist you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an initial assessment session in Fleetville, St Albans.

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You determine which issue concerning your childhood or adulthood you discuss. An objective of counselling is to enable you to speak about a difficulty and discover a way forward which is appropriate for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Integrative Therapy

Integrative therapy combines therapies to suit your needs and the issues you experience. It explores your personal experience and choices. An aim of integrative therapy is to help you develop your self-understanding.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the problems you face. It explores your thoughts, emotions and significant events in your history. Psychotherapy aims to help you change or discover suitable methods of managing.

Transpersonal Therapy

Transpersonal therapy considers your mind, body and soul. It views the issues you experience as opportunities for you to transform. Transpersonal therapy intends to help you recognise your human ability.
