Hello. I am Nadia Wahhab. I'm an accredited and registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I support individuals and couples with their mental health. I have private sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist.

What to Expect

An introductory assessment meeting enables you to discover if you are comfortable with me, share what worries you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and decide if therapy may help you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an initial assessment session in Streatham, London.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT concentrates on how your thoughts affect your feelings and behaviour. It identifies and addresses negative ideas that perpetuate the issues you encounter. The aim of CBT is for you to have healthier thoughts and feelings.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests cognitive behavioural therapy for depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), panic disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and self harm.

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You determine what issue concerning your early years or adult life you explore. An aim of counselling is to enable you to talk about a problem and find a solution which is appropriate for you.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy focuses on the unconscious meaning of the problems you experience. It facilitates you in being aware of aspects of your internal dynamics. Psychodynamic therapy aims to enhance your self-understanding to give you options.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests psychodynamic therapy for depression and self harm.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you obtaining insight into the difficulties you face. It considers your ideas, emotions and significant moments in your history. Psychotherapy aims to help you develop or discover suitable methods of managing.
