Over 9 Years Post-Chartership Experience

Hello. I am Monia Brizzi. I'm a chartered and registered counselling psychologist and a registered psychotherapist - I assist individuals and couples with their psychological health. I have private and public sector experience as a counselling psychologist and a psychotherapist. My interest includes Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and sexual problems, and the particular problems experienced by business men and women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment appointment enables you to see if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what concerns you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and assess if therapy may help you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange an introductory assessment session in Holborn, London or Canary Wharf, London.

Client Centred Therapy

Client centred therapy focuses on understanding and supporting you. It encourages your openness around the worries you experience. Client centred therapy aims to help you discover your own solutions.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT concentrates on how your thoughts influence your emotions and actions. It identifies and addresses unhelpful thoughts which maintain the issues you encounter. The objective of CBT is for you to have healthier thoughts and feelings.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) indicates CBT for alcohol dependence, anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), schizophrenia, self harm and substance dependence.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You decide which matter concerning your childhood and/or adult life you discuss. An aim of counselling is to help you to talk about a problem and discover a way forward which is right for you.

Existential Therapy

Existential therapy investigates how you comprehend your existence. It encompasses deliberation on your viewpoints, potential and choices. Existential therapy seeks to help you find meaning in your life and the problems you encounter.

Integrative Therapy

Integrative therapy combines therapeutic approaches to suit your needs and the issues you experience. It considers your personal experience and options. An aim of integrative therapy is to help you develop your self-awareness.

Psychology is interested in you and your thoughts, feelings and behaviour. It offers you psychological interventions and mental health support. An objective of psychological therapy is to help you alleviate symptoms.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the difficulties you confront. It explores your ideas, emotions and significant events in your history. Psychotherapy intends to help you develop or find appropriate ways of managing.

Solution Focused Therapy (SFT)

Solution focused therapy focuses on discovering solutions to the problems you encounter. It examines what helps you, and which steps you can take to effect change. The purpose of SFT is to help you recognise and utilise your personal resources.
