More Detail

Over 6 Years Post-Registration Experience

Hello. I am Melissa. I'm a registered psychodynamic psychotherapist - I help individuals with their emotional wellbeing. I have private sector experience as a psychodynamic psychotherapist. My focus involves anger, depression and self esteem, as well as the specific challenges encountered by men, transgender people and women.

What to Expect

A preliminary assessment session helps you to see if you are comfortable with me, share what worries you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and assess if therapy may help you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an initial assessment session in Earls Court, London.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You decide which issue regarding your childhood or adulthood you discuss. An aim of counselling is to enable you to talk about a problem and discover a solution which is right for you.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy focuses on the unconscious causes of the issues you encounter. It facilitates you in being aware of parts of your inner dynamics. Psychodynamic therapy seeks to increase your self-comprehension to give you options.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests psychodynamic therapy for depression.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the difficulties you face. It explores your ideas, feelings and significant events in your life. Psychotherapy aims to help you develop or discover appropriate methods of managing.
