More Detail

Over 7 Years Post-Accreditation Experience

Welcome. I'm Marian. I'm an accredited counsellor and psychotherapist - I help individuals and couples with their psychological wellbeing. I have private sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist.

What to Expect

An initial assessment session helps you to see if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what worries you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and assess if therapy may assist you. Please use a contact option on the right to book a preliminary assessment session in Bromley.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioural therapy focuses on how your thoughts influence your feelings and behaviour. It recognises and challenges negative ideas that maintain the issues you encounter. The aim of cognitive behavioural therapy is for you to experience healthier thoughts and emotions.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests cognitive behavioural therapy for depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and self harm.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You decide which issue concerning your early years or adult life you explore. The aim of counselling is to help you to talk about a difficulty and find a solution that is right for you.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the problems you face. It considers your ideas, feelings and relevant events in your history. Psychotherapy intends to help you develop or find suitable ways of coping.

Transactional Analysis (TA)

TA focuses on the roles you use to communicate with yourself and others. It explores the impact of your pre-conscious life plan and how to enhance it. TA seeks to help you acknowledge your value and capacity to grow.
