Over 7 Years Post-Registration Experience

Welcome. I'm Laura Tarsia. I'm a registered psychoanalyst and an accredited and registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I support individuals with their emotional wellbeing. I have private sector experience as a psychoanalyst and a counsellor and psychotherapist.

What to Expect

An initial assessment appointment enables you to discover if you are comfortable with me, discuss what troubles you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and decide if therapy could assist you. Please use a contact option on the right to book a preliminary assessment appointment in Regents Park, London.

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You decide what matter concerning your early years or adult life you explore. An aim of counselling is to enable you to speak about a problem and discover a way forward which is appropriate for you.

Psychoanalysis

Psychoanalysis concentrates on you, and your unconscious. It facilitates you in understanding the unconscious causes and meaning of symptoms. Psychoanalysis endeavours to help you acquire profound knowledge and examine the choices it offers.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy focuses on the unconscious meaning of the problems you encounter. It facilitates you in becoming aware of aspects of your internal dynamics. Psychodynamic therapy seeks to enhance your self-understanding to give you options.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests psychodynamic therapy for anorexia nervosa, depression and self harm.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you obtaining insight into the problems you confront. It explores your thoughts, emotions and significant moments in your history. Psychotherapy intends to help you change or find suitable ways of managing.
