More Detail

Over 23 Years Post-Registration Experience

Hi. I'm Korinna Hedinger-Farrell. I'm a registered psychotherapist - I help individuals and couples with their mental health. I hold private and voluntary sector experience as a psychotherapist. My interest includes bereavement, bipolar disorder, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and the particular challenges experienced by gay, heterosexual and mixed ethnic background men and women.

What to Expect

An introductory assessment appointment allows you to see if you are comfortable with me, discuss what troubles you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and assess if therapy may assist you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange a preliminary assessment session in Kingston Upon Thames.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You decide what issue concerning your childhood or adulthood you explore. The objective of counselling is to enable you to speak about a problem and find a way forward which is appropriate for you.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy centres on the unconscious meaning of the issues you experience. It facilitates you in being conscious of aspects of your inner dynamics. Psychodynamic therapy seeks to increase your self-understanding to give you options.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) indicates psychodynamic therapy for depression and self harm.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the problems you face. It explores your ideas, feelings and relevant moments in your history. Psychotherapy intends to help you develop or find suitable methods of managing.
