Over 7 Years Post-Registration Experience

Hello. I'm Kate McAndrew. I'm a registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I help individuals and couples with their psychological health. I have private sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist.

What to Expect

A preliminary assessment appointment helps you to discover if you are comfortable with me, discuss what concerns you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and determine if therapy could benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange a preliminary assessment session in Whatton, Nottingham or Sherwood, Nottingham.

Client Centred Therapy

Client centred therapy concentrates on appreciating and supporting you. It encourages your openness about the worries you experience. Client centred therapy seeks to help you find your own solutions.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You decide which issue concerning your childhood or adulthood you explore. The objective of counselling is to help you to speak about a difficulty and find a solution that is right for you.

Humanistic Therapy

Humanistic therapy focuses on appreciating you. It sees you as a whole human being and prioritises your personal development. Humanistic therapy seeks to help you recognise your autonomy.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you obtaining insight into the difficulties you face. It considers your ideas, emotions and relevant events in your history. Psychotherapy aims to help you change or discover suitable ways of managing.
