24+ Years Post-Accreditation Experience

Hello. I am Julie Hewson. I'm a senior accredited and registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I support individuals and couples with their psychological health. I hold private and public sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My focus includes Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and the particular obstacles encountered by business men and women.

What to Expect

An introductory assessment meeting helps you to see if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what concerns you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and assess if therapy may benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange an introductory assessment appointment in Exeter or Niwbwrch, Llanfairpwllgwyngyll.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You decide which matter regarding your early years and/or adult life you discuss. An objective of counselling is to help you to talk about a problem and discover a solution which is appropriate for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you obtaining insight into the difficulties you face. It explores your ideas, feelings and significant events in your history. Psychotherapy intends to help you change or discover suitable ways of managing.
