More Detail

12 Years Post-Chartership Experience

Hi. I am Josie Remzi. I'm a chartered and registered counselling psychologist - I assist individuals with their psychological health. I hold private sector experience as a counselling psychologist. My interest includes Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and the specific problems experienced by men and women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment meeting helps you to discover if you are comfortable with me, discuss what troubles you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and decide if therapy may benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an initial assessment meeting in Burwell, Cambridge.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT focuses on your responses to your feelings. It fosters your toleration of your physical sensations. Acceptance and commitment therapy seeks to help you commit yourself to useful change.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioural therapy focuses on how your thoughts (cognitions) influence your emotions and behaviour. It identifies and challenges negative ideas which perpetuate the issues you experience. The objective of cognitive behavioural therapy is for you to experience healthier thoughts and feelings.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests CBT for depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You decide what matter concerning your early years and/or adult life you discuss. An aim of counselling is to help you to talk about a problem and discover a solution that is right for you.

Psychology is interested in you and your thoughts, feelings and actions. It offers you psychological interventions and mental wellbeing support. The objective of psychological therapy is to help you ease symptoms.
