Over 11 Years Post-Chartership Experience

Hi. I am Josie Remzi. I'm a chartered and registered counselling psychologist - I assist individuals and couples with their psychological health. I hold private sector experience as a counselling psychologist.

What to Expect

An initial assessment meeting helps you to discover if you are comfortable with me, discuss what troubles you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and decide if therapy may benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an initial assessment meeting in Burwell, Cambridge.

Client Centred Therapy

Client centred therapy concentrates on appreciating and accepting you. It encourages your openness about the worries you encounter. Client centred therapy seeks to help you find your own answers.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioural therapy concentrates on how your thoughts (cognitions) influence your emotions and actions. It recognises and addresses negative ideas which perpetuate the issues you experience. The aim of CBT is for you to have healthier thoughts and emotions.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests cognitive behavioural therapy for depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You decide what matter concerning your early years and/or adult life you discuss. An aim of counselling is to help you to talk about a problem and discover a solution that is right for you.

Humanistic Therapy

Humanistic therapy centres on appreciating you. It considers you as a whole person and prioritises your unique growth. Humanistic therapy aims to help you realise your autonomy.

Integrative Therapy

Integrative therapy combines therapeutic approaches to suit your needs and the issues you experience. It considers your subjective experiences and choices. The aim of integrative therapy is to help you advance your self-awareness.

Psychology

Psychology is interested in you and your thoughts, feelings and actions. It offers you psychological interventions and mental wellbeing support. The objective of psychological therapy is to help you ease symptoms.

Solution Focused Therapy (SFT)

SFT concentrates on finding answers for the problems you encounter. It explores what helps you, and what actions you can take to implement change. The purpose of solution focused therapy is to help you recognise and utilise your own resources.

Systemic Therapy

Systemic therapy concentrates on the system of interactions between you and people. It identifies the interactions which maintain the interpersonal problems you encounter. Systemic therapy seeks to help you enhance how you communicate with others.
