More Detail

17+ Years Post-Registration Experience

Welcome. I'm Joanna Gollins. I'm a registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I assist individuals with their psychological health. I have private sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My interest involves abuse, anger and self esteem, and the particular issues encountered by women.

What to Expect

An introductory assessment session helps you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, share what troubles you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and assess if therapy could benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to book a preliminary assessment meeting in High Wycombe.

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You determine what issue regarding your early years and/or adult life you explore. An objective of counselling is to help you to speak about a difficulty and find a way forward which is right for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the problems you confront. It considers your thoughts, feelings and relevant events in your history. Psychotherapy aims to help you change or find suitable methods of coping.

Transpersonal Therapy

Transpersonal therapy considers your mind, body and soul. It views the issues you experience as opportunities for you to transform. Transpersonal therapy aims to help you recognise your human potential.
