More Detail

8+ Years Post-Accreditation Experience

Welcome. I'm Jo. I'm an accredited and registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I support individuals and couples with their psychological wellbeing. I hold private sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My interest includes Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), and the particular problems experienced by women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment meeting helps you to see if you are comfortable with me, discuss what worries you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and decide if therapy could help you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange an initial assessment meeting in Ewell, Epsom.

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You determine what issue concerning your childhood and/or adulthood you discuss. The objective of counselling is to enable you to speak about a difficulty and find a solution that is appropriate for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you obtaining insight into the problems you face. It explores your ideas, emotions and relevant moments in your history. Psychotherapy aims to help you develop or discover suitable ways of coping.
