More Detail

Over 8 Years Post-Registration Experience

Hello. I'm Jill. I'm a registered psychotherapist - I help individuals with their emotional health. I have private sector experience as a psychotherapist. My interest includes depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and relationship problems, as well as the specific issues experienced by men and women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment session helps you to see if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what concerns you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and decide if therapy may help you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange an initial assessment session in Bath.

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You decide what matter regarding your childhood or adulthood you discuss. An aim of counselling is to help you to talk about a problem and discover a way forward which is right for you.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy centres on the unconscious meaning of the problems you experience. It facilitates you in becoming aware of aspects of your internal dynamics. Psychodynamic therapy seeks to increase your self-understanding to give you choices.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends psychodynamic therapy for anorexia nervosa, depression and self harm.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the difficulties you face. It explores your thoughts, feelings and significant moments in your life. Psychotherapy aims to help you change or discover suitable ways of coping.
