More Detail

Over 21 Years Post-Accreditation Experience

Welcome. I'm Jacqueline Ullmann. I'm a senior accredited and registered counsellor - I support individuals and couples with their emotional wellbeing. I have private and public sector experience as a counsellor. My focus involves bereavement, and the specific difficulties experienced by women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment session enables you to see if you feel comfortable with me, share what concerns you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and assess if therapy may help you. Please use a contact option on the right to book a preliminary assessment session in Golders Green, London.

Client Centred Therapy

Client centred therapy focuses on appreciating and accepting you. It encourages your honesty about the concerns you encounter. Client centred therapy seeks to help you find your own solutions.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioural therapy focuses on how your thoughts influence your emotions and behaviour. It identifies and addresses negative ideas that perpetuate the issues you experience. The objective of cognitive behavioural therapy is for you to have healthier thoughts and feelings.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests CBT for depression and Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD).

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You decide which issue concerning your childhood or adulthood you discuss. An aim of counselling is to enable you to speak about a problem and discover a way forward which is right for you.
