More Detail

7+ Years Post-Registration Experience

Hello. I am Gillian. I'm an accredited and registered counsellor - I support individuals and couples with their mental health. I hold private sector experience as a counsellor. My interest includes abuse, anger, bereavement and depression, and the particular issues experienced by men and women.

What to Expect

A preliminary assessment session allows you to discover if you are comfortable with me, share what concerns you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and determine if therapy could benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange a preliminary assessment session in Beverley.

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You decide what matter concerning your childhood and/or adulthood you explore. The objective of counselling is to enable you to talk about a problem and find a way forward that is right for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Humanistic Therapy

Humanistic therapy centres on valuing you. It sees you as a whole human being and emphasises your personal growth. Humanistic therapy seeks to help you realise your autonomy.

Transactional Analysis (TA)

Transactional analysis centres on the roles you use to interact with yourself and others. It considers the effect of your pre-conscious life strategy and how to improve it. Transactional analysis aims to help you recognise your value and ability to grow.
