More Detail

3+ Years Post-Registration Experience

Hello. I'm Frazer Reid. I'm a registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I help individuals and couples with their mental wellbeing. I hold private and voluntary sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My interest involves abuse, relationship problems and self esteem, as well as the specific challenges encountered by men and women.

What to Expect

An introductory assessment appointment helps you to see if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what concerns you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and assess if therapy may benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange an initial assessment appointment in Kingsbridge, Totnes, Exeter or Newton Abbot.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You determine which matter concerning your early years or adult life you explore. An objective of counselling is to help you to talk about a difficulty and discover a way forward which is appropriate for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Humanistic Therapy

Humanistic therapy centres on appreciating you. It considers you as a whole person and emphasises your unique development. Humanistic therapy aims to help you recognise your freedom.

Integrative Therapy

Integrative therapy combines therapies to suit your preferences and the issues you experience. It considers your personal experiences and options. An aim of integrative therapy is to help you develop your self-awareness.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the problems you face. It explores your ideas, emotions and relevant events in your history. Psychotherapy aims to help you develop or discover appropriate ways of coping.
