More Detail

Over 12 Years Post-Accreditation Experience

Welcome. I am Francesca. I'm an accredited counsellor and psychotherapist - I assist individuals with their psychological wellbeing. I have private sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My focus includes relationship problems, as well as the specific issues experienced by men, transgender people and women.

What to Expect

An introductory assessment session helps you to see if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what troubles you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and determine if therapy may assist you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an introductory assessment appointment in Brighton.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT concentrates on how your thoughts (cognitions) influence your feelings and actions. It recognises and addresses unhelpful ideas which maintain the issues you encounter. The objective of CBT is for you to experience healthier thoughts and feelings.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests cognitive behavioural therapy for alcohol dependence, anorexia nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder (BED), bipolar disorder, bulimia nervosa, depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and substance dependence.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You decide what matter concerning your early years or adulthood you explore. The aim of counselling is to enable you to talk about a difficulty and discover a way forward which is right for you.

Existential Therapy

Existential therapy explores how you comprehend your life. It involves deliberation on your perspectives, capacities and options. Existential therapy aims to help you discover significance in your life and the problems you experience.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you obtaining insight into the problems you confront. It explores your thoughts, emotions and relevant events in your life. Psychotherapy intends to help you change or find appropriate ways of managing.
