What to Expect

A preliminary assessment meeting helps you to see if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what concerns you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and decide if therapy may assist you. Please use a contact option on the right to book a preliminary assessment session in Sherwood, Nottingham or Beeston, Nottingham.

Client Centred Therapy

Client centred therapy focuses on appreciating and accepting you. It facilitates your openness around the worries you encounter. Client centred therapy aims to help you discover your own solutions.

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You decide which issue concerning your childhood and/or adult life you explore. An objective of counselling is to help you to speak about a difficulty and discover a way forward which is appropriate for you.

Existential Therapy

Existential therapy explores how you comprehend your life. It involves deliberation on your perspectives, capacities and choices. Existential therapy seeks to help you discover meaning in your existence and the problems you experience.

Humanistic Therapy

Humanistic therapy centres on appreciating you. It considers you as a whole person and prioritises your unique development. Humanistic therapy aims to help you realise your autonomy.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the difficulties you face. It considers your thoughts, emotions and significant events in your life. Psychotherapy intends to help you develop or discover appropriate ways of coping.
