More Detail

9+ Years Post-Chartership Experience

Welcome. I'm Simon. I'm a registered and chartered counselling psychologist and a registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I assist individuals and couples with their emotional health. I have private and voluntary sector experience as a counselling psychologist and a counsellor and psychotherapist. My interest includes alcohol dependence and relationship problems, and the specific obstacles faced by men, transgender people and women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment appointment helps you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, share what concerns you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and assess if therapy could help you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange an introductory assessment session in Oxford Circus, London or Brixton, London.

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You determine which issue regarding your early years or adulthood you discuss. The aim of counselling is to help you to talk about a problem and discover a solution which is appropriate for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Existential Therapy

Existential therapy investigates how you perceive your existence. It encompasses reflection on your viewpoints, potential and options. Existential therapy seeks to help you find meaning in your life and the issues you experience.

Psychology

Psychology is interested in you and your thoughts, feelings and behaviour. It offers you psychological treatments and mental health support. An objective of psychological therapies is to help you alleviate symptoms.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you obtaining insight into the difficulties you confront. It explores your thoughts, emotions and significant moments in your life. Psychotherapy aims to help you develop or discover appropriate methods of managing.
