More Detail

Over 5 Years Post-Registration Experience

Welcome. I am Sara. I'm a registered and chartered counselling psychologist - I help individuals with their emotional wellbeing. I have private sector experience as a counselling psychologist. My focus includes bereavement, depression and relationship problems, as well as the specific obstacles experienced by men and women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment session helps you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what worries you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and decide if therapy could benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an initial assessment appointment in South Woodford, London or Redbridge, Ilford.

Client Centred Therapy

Client centred therapy focuses on appreciating and accepting you. It facilitates your honesty around the concerns you encounter. Client centred therapy seeks to help you discover your own solutions.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT concentrates on how your thoughts affect your feelings and actions. It identifies and addresses unhelpful thoughts that perpetuate the problems you experience. The objective of CBT is for you to experience healthier thoughts and feelings.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) indicates cognitive behavioural therapy for depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and panic disorder.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You determine which matter regarding your early years or adult life you explore. An aim of counselling is to help you to speak about a problem and find a solution which is right for you.

Existential Therapy

Existential therapy investigates how you perceive your existence. It encompasses deliberation on your perspectives, potential and choices. Existential therapy seeks to help you discover meaning in your life and the issues you experience.

Psychology is interested in you and your thoughts, emotions and behaviour. It offers you psychological treatments and mental health support. An intention of psychological therapies is to help you ease symptoms.

Solution Focused Therapy (SFT)

SFT focuses on discovering answers for the issues you experience. It explores what helps you, and which actions you could make to implement change. The intention of solution focused therapy is to help you recognise and use your personal strengths.
