More Detail

Over 16 Years Post-Accreditation Experience

Hi. I am Rosie. I'm an accredited and registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I support individuals and couples with their psychological wellbeing. I hold private sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My interest includes Binge Eating Disorder (BED), as well as the specific issues faced by women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment meeting helps you to see if you are comfortable with me, discuss what troubles you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and assess if therapy may benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange a preliminary assessment session in Ferring, Worthing.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT focuses on how your thoughts affect your emotions and actions. It identifies and challenges unhelpful thoughts which maintain the problems you experience. The objective of CBT is for you to experience healthier thoughts and feelings.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends cognitive behavioural therapy for anorexia nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder (BED), bulimia nervosa, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) (ME), depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), panic disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and self harm.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You determine which issue concerning your early years and/or adult life you discuss. An aim of counselling is to enable you to speak about a difficulty and find a way forward that is appropriate for you.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy centres on the unconscious causes of the issues you experience. It facilitates you in being aware of parts of your inner dynamics. Psychodynamic therapy aims to enhance your self-comprehension to give you choices.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) indicates psychodynamic therapy for anorexia nervosa, depression and self harm.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the difficulties you confront. It considers your thoughts, feelings and significant moments in your history. Psychotherapy intends to help you change or discover appropriate ways of managing.
