More Detail

Over 16 Years Post-Accreditation Experience

Hi. I am Rosie. I'm an accredited and registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I support individuals and couples with their psychological wellbeing. I hold private sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My interest includes Binge Eating Disorder (BED), as well as the specific issues faced by women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment meeting helps you to see if you are comfortable with me, discuss what troubles you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and assess if therapy may benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange a preliminary assessment session in Ferring, Worthing.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT concentrates on how your thoughts affect your feelings and behaviour. It recognises and addresses negative thoughts which perpetuate the issues you experience. The objective of CBT is for you to have healthier thoughts and feelings.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends CBT for anorexia nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder (BED), bulimia nervosa, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) (ME), depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), panic disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and self harm.

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You determine which issue concerning your early years and/or adult life you discuss. An aim of counselling is to enable you to speak about a difficulty and find a way forward that is appropriate for you.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy focuses on the unconscious meaning of the problems you experience. It facilitates you in being conscious of parts of your inner dynamics. Psychodynamic therapy seeks to increase your self-comprehension to give you options.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests psychodynamic therapy for anorexia nervosa, depression and self harm.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the difficulties you confront. It considers your thoughts, feelings and significant moments in your history. Psychotherapy intends to help you change or discover appropriate ways of managing.
