More Detail

Over 15 Years Post-Registration Experience

Hello. I'm Robert. I'm a registered and chartered clinical psychologist - I help individuals with their psychological wellbeing. I have private sector experience as a clinical psychologist. My focus involves self esteem, and the specific issues faced by men.

What to Expect

A preliminary assessment meeting enables you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what troubles you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and determine if therapy may assist you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange a preliminary assessment appointment in Southwark, London.

Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT)

Cognitive analytic therapy identifies why your past affects your current thoughts (cognitions) and emotions. It explores your survival techniques and whether they help or hinder you. The purpose of cognitive analytic therapy is to help you discover fresh and beneficial ways forward.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioural therapy focuses on how your thoughts affect your emotions and behaviour. It recognises and addresses negative ideas that perpetuate the problems you experience. The aim of cognitive behavioural therapy is for you to experience healthier thoughts and emotions.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests CBT for depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), panic disorder and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Psychology is interested in you and your thoughts, feelings and actions. It offers you psychological interventions and mental health support. An objective of psychological therapies is to help you alleviate symptoms.

Psychosexual Therapy

Psychosexual therapy concentrates on treating the sexual difficulties you experience. When appropriate, you complete treatment activities privately in your home. Psychosexual therapy seeks to help you overcome sexual problems.
