More Detail

Over 12 Years Post-Chartership Experience

Hello. I'm Mark. I'm a chartered and registered counselling psychologist - I support individuals and couples with their mental health. I have private and public sector experience as a counselling psychologist. My interest involves depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and stress, and the specific obstacles encountered by men and women.

What to Expect

A preliminary assessment meeting helps you to see if you feel comfortable with me, share what worries you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and assess if therapy could benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange a preliminary assessment meeting in Lewes or Hove.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Acceptance and commitment therapy focuses on your responses to your feelings. It encourages your acceptance of your physical sensations. Acceptance and commitment therapy aims to help you commit yourself to useful action.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You determine what issue concerning your childhood and/or adult life you discuss. The aim of counselling is to help you to talk about a difficulty and find a way forward which is appropriate for you.

Humanistic Therapy

Humanistic therapy centres on valuing you. It considers you as a whole person and emphasises your personal development. Humanistic therapy seeks to help you realise your autonomy.

Integrative Therapy

Integrative therapy combines therapeutic approaches to suit your needs and the issues you experience. It explores your personal experiences and choices. The aim of integrative therapy is to help you develop your self-awareness.

Psychology is interested in you and your thoughts, feelings and actions. It offers you psychological interventions and mental health support. The objective of psychological therapies is to help you alleviate symptoms.
