More Detail

Over 7 Years Post-Registration Experience

Welcome. I am Louisa. I'm a registered and chartered clinical psychologist - I help individuals and couples with their psychological wellbeing. I have private sector experience as a clinical psychologist.

What to Expect

An initial assessment appointment allows you to see if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what worries you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and assess if therapy could help you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an initial assessment meeting in Sloane Square, London.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT focuses on your reactions to your feelings. It encourages your toleration of your bodily sensations. ACT seeks to help you commit yourself to useful change.

Client Centred Therapy

Client centred therapy focuses on appreciating and accepting you. It facilitates your honesty around the concerns you encounter. Client centred therapy seeks to help you discover your own answers.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT focuses on how your thoughts (cognitions) influence your feelings and actions. It identifies and addresses unhelpful ideas which maintain the issues you encounter. The aim of cognitive behavioural therapy is for you to experience healthier thoughts and emotions.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests CBT for bipolar disorder, depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), panic disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and schizophrenia.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

DBT evaluates your understanding of your thoughts and feelings. It encourages your discovery of helpful reactions to your life. DBT hopes to help you improve and maintain your coping abilities.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) indicates DBT for Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD).

Integrative Therapy

Integrative therapy selects therapeutic approaches to fit your preferences and the problems you encounter. It explores your personal experience and options. The aim of integrative therapy is to help you develop your self-awareness.

Narrative Therapy

Narrative therapy concentrates on your story about your life. It fosters your understanding of your narrative and why it influences you. An objective of narrative therapy is to help you author a different direction for your life.

Psychology is interested in you and your mind, emotions and actions. It offers you psychological interventions and mental wellbeing support. The intention of psychological therapies is to help you ease symptoms.
