Over 26 Years Post-Chartership Experience

Hi. I'm Ho Law. I'm a registered occupational psychologist - I help individuals and couples with their mental health. I have private, public and voluntary sector experience as an occupational psychologist. My interest involves bereavement, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and stress, and the particular obstacles faced by men, transgender people and women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment meeting helps you to see if you feel comfortable with me, share what worries you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and determine if therapy could help you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange a preliminary assessment meeting in Peterborough or Peterborough.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT focuses on how your thoughts (cognitions) influence your emotions and behaviour. It identifies and challenges unhelpful thoughts which perpetuate the problems you encounter. The objective of CBT is for you to experience healthier thoughts and feelings.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests cognitive behavioural therapy for anorexia nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder (BED), bipolar disorder, bulimia nervosa, depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), panic disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), schizophrenia and substance dependence.

Existential Therapy

Existential therapy investigates how you perceive your life. It involves reflection on your perspectives, potential and options. Existential therapy seeks to help you find meaning in your existence and the problems you encounter.

Integrative Therapy

Integrative therapy selects therapeutic approaches to suit your needs and the problems you encounter. It considers your personal experience and choices. An aim of integrative therapy is to help you advance your self-understanding.

Narrative Therapy

Narrative therapy concentrates on your narrative about your life. It fosters your understanding of your life-story and how it affects you. The objective of narrative therapy is to help you create a new direction for your life.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy centres on the unconscious meaning of the problems you experience. It facilitates you in becoming aware of aspects of your internal dynamics. Psychodynamic therapy aims to increase your self-understanding to give you choices.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends psychodynamic therapy for anorexia nervosa, depression and substance dependence.

Psychology is interested in you and your mind, emotions and behaviour. It offers you psychological treatments and mental health support. An objective of psychological therapies is to help you ease symptoms.

Transpersonal Therapy

Transpersonal therapy considers your mind, body and spirit. It perceives the issues you encounter as ways for you to develop. Transpersonal therapy intends to help you acknowledge your human ability.
