More Detail

Over 5 Years Post-Chartership Experience

Hello. I'm Haneyeh Belyani. I'm a registered and chartered counselling psychologist - I assist individuals with their emotional wellbeing. I have private sector experience as a counselling psychologist. My focus includes depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), as well as the particular difficulties encountered by men and women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment appointment helps you to discover if you are comfortable with me, share what troubles you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and determine if therapy may benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to book a preliminary assessment session in Dagenham, St. Pauls, London or City of London, London.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioural therapy focuses on how your thoughts influence your feelings and behaviour. It recognises and challenges unhelpful thoughts that perpetuate the problems you experience. The aim of CBT is for you to have healthier thoughts and emotions.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends CBT for Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), panic disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), self harm and social anxiety disorder.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You decide which issue concerning your early years or adulthood you explore. The objective of counselling is to help you to speak about a problem and find a solution which is right for you.

Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR directs your eye movements to affect how your mind processes data. The procedure attempts to reprocess your locked distressing memories. The aim of eye movement desensitisation reprocessing is to desensitise your painful memories.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends EMDR for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Humanistic Therapy

Humanistic therapy centres on valuing you. It considers you as a whole person and emphasises your personal development. Humanistic therapy aims to help you realise your autonomy.

Integrative Therapy

Integrative therapy selects therapies to fit your needs and the problems you encounter. It considers your subjective experiences and options. An aim of integrative therapy is to help you advance your self-understanding.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy centres on the unconscious causes of the problems you experience. It facilitates you in becoming conscious of parts of your internal dynamics. Psychodynamic therapy aims to increase your self-comprehension to give you choices.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) indicates psychodynamic therapy for depression, self harm and social anxiety disorder.

Psychology is interested in you and your mind, emotions and actions. It offers you psychological interventions and mental health support. The intention of psychological therapy is to help you ease symptoms.

Systemic Therapy

Systemic therapy concentrates on the system of interactions between you and others. It identifies the interactions which maintain the interpersonal problems you encounter. Systemic therapy seeks to help you enhance how you communicate with people.
