More Detail

20+ Years Post-Chartership Experience

Hello. I'm Eldad. I'm a chartered and registered counselling psychologist - I support individuals and couples with their mental health. I have private and voluntary sector experience as a counselling psychologist. My focus includes bereavement, as well as the specific obstacles encountered by men and women.

What to Expect

A preliminary assessment session allows you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, share what troubles you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and decide if therapy could benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange an introductory assessment appointment in Shenley, Radlett or Ilford.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioural therapy concentrates on how your thoughts (cognitions) influence your emotions and behaviour. It recognises and addresses negative thoughts that perpetuate the issues you encounter. The objective of CBT is for you to have healthier thoughts and feelings.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends cognitive behavioural therapy for depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), panic disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), self harm and social anxiety disorder.

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You determine what matter regarding your early years and/or adult life you explore. An objective of counselling is to help you to talk about a difficulty and discover a solution which is appropriate for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

Dialectical behaviour therapy considers your perception of your ideas and feelings. It facilitates your discovery of useful reactions to your life. Dialectical behaviour therapy intends to help you improve and maintain your coping skills.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) indicates dialectical behaviour therapy for Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD).

Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR directs your eye motions to stimulate how your brain processes data. The technique attempts to reprocess your locked distressing memories. The objective of EMDR is to desensitise your upsetting memories.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests EMDR for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Psychology

Psychology is interested in you and your thoughts, feelings and behaviour. It offers you psychological treatments and mental wellbeing support. The objective of psychological therapies is to help you ease symptoms.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the problems you confront. It considers your ideas, feelings and significant moments in your history. Psychotherapy intends to help you change or find appropriate methods of managing.
