More Detail

Over 5 Years Post-Accreditation Experience

Welcome. I'm Diane. I'm an accredited and registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I assist individuals with their emotional wellbeing. I have private and voluntary sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My focus includes abuse, depression and relationship problems, as well as the particular challenges experienced by women.

What to Expect

An introductory assessment meeting enables you to discover if you are comfortable with me, share what concerns you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and assess if therapy could assist you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an initial assessment appointment in Chichester or Worthing.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You decide what matter regarding your childhood and/or adult life you discuss. An objective of counselling is to enable you to speak about a problem and discover a solution which is appropriate for you.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy focuses on the unconscious causes of the issues you encounter. It facilitates you in becoming aware of aspects of your internal dynamics. Psychodynamic therapy seeks to enhance your self-comprehension to give you options.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests psychodynamic therapy for anorexia nervosa, depression, social anxiety disorder and substance dependence.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the problems you confront. It explores your thoughts, emotions and significant events in your history. Psychotherapy intends to help you develop or discover appropriate ways of coping.
