More Detail

Over 10 Years Post-Registration Experience

Welcome. I'm Colin Mills. I'm an accredited and registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I support individuals with their psychological health. I hold private sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My focus includes stress, as well as the particular obstacles experienced by business men and women.

What to Expect

An introductory assessment meeting helps you to see if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what troubles you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and decide if therapy may assist you. Please use a contact option on the right to arrange an initial assessment appointment in Loudwater, High Wycombe.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT focuses on how your thoughts (cognitions) affect your feelings and behaviour. It recognises and challenges unhelpful ideas that maintain the issues you experience. The aim of cognitive behavioural therapy is for you to experience healthier thoughts and emotions.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) indicates CBT for alcohol dependence, bipolar disorder, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) (ME), depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), schizophrenia, self harm and substance dependence.

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You determine which issue concerning your early years or adulthood you explore. An objective of counselling is to help you to talk about a difficulty and discover a solution which is appropriate for you.

Psychosynthesis Therapy

Psychosynthesis therapy views the blocks you experience as moments for you to develop. It facilitates your comprehension of your particular aspects. The objective of psychosynthesis therapy is to help you harmonise elements of yourself.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the difficulties you confront. It explores your ideas, feelings and significant events in your life. Psychotherapy aims to help you change or discover suitable ways of managing.
