More Detail

Over 3 Years Post-Accreditation Experience

Hi. I'm Catherine Hardy. I'm an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) psychotherapist - I assist individuals with their psychological wellbeing. I hold private sector experience as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) psychotherapist.

What to Expect

A preliminary assessment session helps you to discover if you are comfortable with me, discuss what troubles you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and assess if therapy may assist you. Please use a contact option on the right to book a preliminary assessment session in Fazeley, Tamworth.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT concentrates on how your thoughts influence your emotions and behaviour. It recognises and challenges negative thoughts that perpetuate the problems you encounter. The aim of CBT is for you to experience healthier thoughts and emotions.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests CBT for alcohol dependence, depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), panic disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), self harm and substance dependence.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the difficulties you face. It explores your ideas, feelings and relevant events in your life. Psychotherapy aims to help you change or find suitable ways of managing.
