More Detail

4 Years Post-Accreditation Experience

Hello. I'm Ben. I'm an accredited and registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I support individuals and couples with their psychological health. I have private sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My focus involves self esteem, as well as the particular difficulties encountered by men.

What to Expect

An initial assessment appointment allows you to see if you feel comfortable with me, discuss what worries you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and assess if therapy could benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an introductory assessment appointment in Shrub End, Colchester or Hampton Hill, Hampton.

Client Centred Therapy

Client centred therapy focuses on appreciating and supporting you. It facilitates your honesty around the concerns you experience. Client centred therapy aims to help you discover your own solutions.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You determine what issue concerning your early years and/or adulthood you explore. The aim of counselling is to help you to speak about a difficulty and find a way forward which is appropriate for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you obtaining insight into the difficulties you face. It explores your ideas, emotions and relevant moments in your history. Psychotherapy aims to help you develop or discover suitable ways of managing.
