4+ Years Post-Accreditation Experience

Welcome. I am Anne. I'm an accredited and registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I support individuals and couples with their psychological health. I have private and public sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My interest includes depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and relationship problems, as well as the particular challenges encountered by men, transgender people and women.

What to Expect

A preliminary assessment appointment allows you to see if you are comfortable with me, share what concerns you, ask questions, clarify confidentiality, and determine if therapy may benefit you. Please use a contact option on the right to book a preliminary assessment appointment in Cheltenham.

Counselling centres on listening to you, and assisting you. You decide what matter concerning your early years or adulthood you explore. The aim of counselling is to help you to speak about a problem and discover a solution which is right for you.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends counselling for depression.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy centres on the unconscious meaning of the problems you encounter. It facilitates you in being aware of aspects of your inner dynamics. Psychodynamic therapy aims to enhance your self-understanding to give you choices.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) recommends psychodynamic therapy for depression, self harm and social anxiety disorder.

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you obtaining insight into the difficulties you confront. It considers your thoughts, emotions and significant moments in your life. Psychotherapy intends to help you develop or find suitable ways of coping.
