15 Years Post-Registration Experience

Hi. I'm Anna Minihane. I'm an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) psychotherapist - I help individuals with their psychological health. I hold private and public sector experience as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) psychotherapist. My interest includes Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and the particular difficulties experienced by men, transgender people and women.

What to Expect

An introductory assessment meeting helps you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, share what concerns you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and decide if therapy may assist you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an introductory assessment appointment in Canterbury.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Cognitive behavioural therapy focuses on how your thoughts (cognitions) influence your feelings and behaviour. It recognises and addresses negative thoughts that maintain the problems you encounter. The aim of CBT is for you to have healthier thoughts and feelings.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests CBT for Binge Eating Disorder (BED), bulimia nervosa, depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), panic disorder and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Integrative Therapy

Integrative therapy combines therapies to suit your preferences and the issues you encounter. It considers your personal experiences and choices. The aim of integrative therapy is to help you advance your self-understanding.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you obtaining insight into the difficulties you confront. It considers your ideas, feelings and relevant moments in your life. Psychotherapy aims to help you change or discover suitable ways of managing.
