More Detail

Over 15 Years Post-Accreditation Experience

Welcome. I'm Alexandra Piotrowska. I'm an accredited and registered counsellor and psychotherapist - I assist individuals, couples and families with their emotional wellbeing. I hold private sector experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist. My focus includes depression, and the specific challenges experienced by men and women.

What to Expect

An initial assessment meeting allows you to discover if you feel comfortable with me, share what worries you, ask questions, understand confidentiality, and decide if therapy could assist you. Please use a contact option on the right to book an introductory assessment meeting in West Brompton, London.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT focuses on how your thoughts affect your feelings and behaviour. It identifies and addresses negative thoughts which perpetuate the issues you encounter. The objective of CBT is for you to have healthier thoughts and emotions.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) (England and Wales) suggests cognitive behavioural therapy for depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), panic disorder and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Counselling

Counselling centres on listening to you, and supporting you. You determine which matter concerning your early years or adult life you explore. The objective of counselling is to help you to talk about a difficulty and find a way forward which is right for you.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy focuses on you, and you gaining insight into the problems you confront. It considers your ideas, emotions and significant events in your life. Psychotherapy aims to help you change or find appropriate ways of managing.

Transactional Analysis (TA)

Transactional analysis focuses on the roles you use to communicate with yourself and people. It explores the impact of your pre-conscious life strategy and how to enhance it. TA aims to help you acknowledge your value and ability to grow.
