Sexuality
Sexuality is the personal capacity to experience and express sexual desire for another. It is a rich, complex and important area of human experience. Sexuality involves needs for attachment, intimacy, pleasure and love. Sexuality exists on a straight - gay continuum. For various reasons people identify as straight, gay, bisexual, do not use a label or lack sexual attraction. The informed consensus is sexuality is determined early in life and is not a choice. The nature - nurture dichotomy remains inconclusive.
Symptoms of Sexuality Issues
Being raised by straight people in societies which promote being straight benefits straight people by providing them with others to identify with and institutions which support them. Gay, lesbian and bisexual people face coming out and heterosexism and homophobia which increase the risk of them suffering from problems such as anxiety, depression, minority stress or self harm. When people and societies support gay, lesbian and bisexual people, the risk of these problems occurring decreases.
Causes of Sexuality Issues
The introduction of abrahamic religions neuroticised cultures about sexuality. Some believers' one way tolerance, obsession, denial and sadism, projected as divine will, led to the invention of sex crimes against nature. In reality, animals and humans have gay sex and straight sex. Only straight sex creates population spread that destroys nature. Democracies which separate state and religion see no rational reason exists for sexuality discrimination and protect their citizens from it.Disclaimer: All content within the RSCPP website is provided for general information only and should not be treated as a substitute for the advice of a doctor, counsellor, psychoanalyst, psychologist or psychotherapist who you should always consult if you are concerned about your mental health.
