From April 9th 2008 we started advertising in Psychologies magazine for one month. The magazine sells over 140,000 copies a month. We hope that readers of the publication who are looking for therapy will learn about us.
January 2008
In January, we started running 'Flyers' on Facebook, to help people who may want to talk about a personal problem find us.

Therapists manage own appointments online
We launched a new facility on www.rscpp.co.uk. It allows therapists to have complete control over their face to face and telephone appointment times on the website. They can now add appointments into the future, allowing people seeking therapy to book them, and cutting down on the time therapists need to manage their availability. Therapists can also view their appointments and remove any unbooked ones if they need to.
Counselling in Highgate, North London
Dr Adrienne Baker, a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist, joined us, providing individual and group therapy and supervision in Highgate, North London. Adrienne brings years of clinical experience with her, as well as academic knowledge having trained therapists at Regent's College School of Psychotherapy.
November 2007
Counselling in Kensington, West London
Nadia Al-Khudhairy, who is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist joined the website, providing new skills for people seeking therapy, including the ability to speak Arabic. I provide counselling in a GP's surgery, and often see people whose first language is not English, so having Nadia providing a service in Arabic is a welcome addition.
In November, we started running 'Google Adwords' campaigns, to help people who are seeking therapy find us.
September 2007
Secure registration, booking, and online communication for customers
On the 17th September 2007, we launched an important addition to the website. People can now register, in order to choose and securely book a therapist. For people working by email they can communicate securely with their therapist via the website.
June 2007
Company formation
Since meeting, Tommy and I have been working well together, Tommy bringing technical knowledge to the website, me, the developing idea, and clinical experience. This fusion of skills became the heart of the website, and so we decided to form a company together: RSCPP - Richard Snowdon Counselling Psychotherapy & Psychoanalysis was formed on 19th June 2007.

February 2006
Website launch
In December 2004 I found the website designer Miles Cruickshank on the web, and decided he was the designer for the website. In January 2005 Miles introduced me to the website developer Tommy Newman, who started work on the website's technical development. Miles' original design was ready in April 2005. After eleven months of Tommy and I developing the website, Tommy launched the first part of the website from Rio on the 6th February 2006.
April 2004
Beginnings
In January 2004, I had an idea to build a website which would make therapy more accessible to people. Waiting lists, living in a remote area, having a disability, professional and personal commitments: these all got in the way of people with these concerns accessing therapy. I started to research the way forward, and found Kate Anthony, main author of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) Guidelines for Online Counselling and Psychotherapy. By April 2004 I had finished a course in online counselling with Kate.
